Deadline soon for KPA district meeting in Iola

Posted August 24, 2015

The deadline for the first of five Kansas Press Association district meetings is noon Tuesday (Aug. 25).

"We've had a great response so far, but we need to send a number to the caterer, so call or e-mail today if you're want to attend," said Emily Bradbury, director of member services for KPA.

The meetings, all scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., are: Aug. 28 in Iola at the Iola Public Library (tied in with a KPA board meeting); Sept. 17 in Atwood; Sept. 18 in Garden City; Oct. 16 in Newton and Nov. 6 in Topeka.

Programming will include sales training, an explanation of what KPA has to offer members, and a discussion on the upcoming 2016 Day at the Legislature. Lunch will be provided through a grant from the Kansas Newspaper Foundation, and there will be no charge to members who attend the meetings.
