Potter Conference to focus on new opportunities

Posted January 21, 2016

The Reynolds Journalism Institute is holding another Potter Conference for community newspapers! At this year’s conference in April attendees will learn how community news organizations — weeklies, small dailies, and their websites — went from overwhelmed to overjoyed as they successfully tackled new opportunities.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to not only learn the basics of social media but build a page for their organization with the help of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. During the conference, attendees will also learn how a family owned group of weeklies brought in $400,000 in business in just 10 days.

We know newspapers have a limited budget so we’re here to help. There is no charge for the conference itself AND RJI will pay for a hotel room at The Tiger Hotel for the FIRST 40 papers (one room per organization) to register by March 31.
