We need 20 more judges for Nebraska contest

Posted January 10, 2017

While you're preparing your entries for the Kansas Press Association's Awards of Excellence contest, we're busy at the KPA office setting up the reciprocal judging that makes AOE happen.

Nebraska and Kansas are judging each other's entries this year. Since we both have conventions in April each year, we'll be judging at the same time beginning in late January or early February.

"Thank you to those who have already signed up to judge the Nebraska newspaper contest next month," said Emily Bradbury, assistant KPA director and membership services director. "Guess what? If everyone who has already signed up recruited only one more judge from their newspaper, or a sister newspaper, we would have all the judges we need to complete the contest.

"So, so ahead, find that person who 'owes' you one and sign them up to judge."
