Jason Jump is the publisher of the Kingman Leader-Courier, based in Kingman. His day-to-day responsibilities include supervising the Leader-Courier staff, and the operational efforts of the newspaper. Jump also serves as the advertising director and covers both the city and county commissions.

Jump earned his B.A. degree is Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University. He earned a Master of Education degree in Adult Education and Political Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. While at OCU, Jump served as the Sports Editor of The Campus student newspaper.

After a brief career at daily and mutli-publication weekly newspapers in Oklahoma, Jump coached college and high school basketball and softball for several years. Following his coaching career, Jump returned to his journalism roots when he created the Lone Star Christian Sports Network. LSCSN covered nearly 300 private school athletic departments across the state of Texas in an online-only format. Jump and his wife, Stephanie, purchased the Leader-Courier and moved to Kansas in 2012.
