Warren named publisher in Warrensburg

Atchison Globe publisher Joe Warren has been tapped to lead the Daily Star-Journal in Warrensburg, Mo.

Warren, a graduate of New Mexico State University, began work in Warrensburg just after Christmas.

He and his wife, Lacy, have a daughter, Addison.

Warren has been at the Globe since 2007. He began there as sports editor in 2007, was named managing editor and then publisher in 2009.

He represented the Northeast District for the Kansas Press Association Board of Directors.

Despite the move, he will continue to oversee operations of the Globe and the Hiawatha World from Warrensburg.
