Countdown begins for 2015 KPA convention
The 2015 annual convention of the Kansas Press Association is just five weeks away, and the deadline for reserving a hotel room is later this week.
The convention is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Junction City. The hotel deadline is Monday, March 16. Call (785) 210-1500 and ask for the special KPA rate of $87 plus tax. Go ahead and reserve a room, because you may cancel without penalty up to 6 p.m. on the day of arrival.
In addition to an action-packed program, we will be announcing inductees into the Kansas Newspaper Hall of Fame and the winners of the Clyde M. Reed Jr. Master Editor Award, the Gaston Outstanding Mentor Award and the Boyd Community Service Award at the Friday night banquet. The results of the annual Awards of Excellence competition will be announced at the Saturday luncheon.
