Ulysses man injured in single vehicle accident

Morton County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Ulysses man was injured in a single vehicle accident before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning in Morton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that a 2005 Peterbilt semi driven by 67-year-old Richard Lynn Lebrun was Northbound of Road 9 just north of BB Blvd, when he went off the road to the right with the passenger side tires. Lebrun attempted to steer left to return to the roadway, as the semi and trailer overturned on passenger side. The truck and trailer faced Northwest on Road 9 blocking both lanes of travel, with rock covering the northbound lane, shoulder and ditch.

Lebrun was taken to Stanton County Hospital for suspected serious injuries. The KHP report stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
