Bomb threat forces downtown evacuations in Dodge City Friday
Dodge City, Kan.–The Dodge City Police Department investigated a bomb threat Friday afternoon, that resulted in evacuations.
Just before 2 p.m, residents downtown near the Post Office, Ford County Corthouse, and the Ford County Government Center were asked to avoid the area due to a bomb threat. Multiple law enforcement officers were on the scene working to clear the area.
Later in the day Friday, the law enforcement agencies cleared the downtown Dodge City area and confirmed that there were no safety concerns.
The City of Dodge City thanked the community for its patience and extends appreciation to everyone involved for their efforts during this situation.
