Dodge City Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire between McArtor Road and Agnes Street

Dodge City, Kansas–The Dodge City Fire Department received a call at just after 9:30 am Sunday morning, regarding a structure fire in the area between McArtor Road and Agnes Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found two trailer homes and three vehicles involved in the fire, with one trailer home already fully engulfed in flames.

Crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading further. Unfortunately, three fatalities resulted from the incident. The Dodge City Police Department is currently interviewing family members to gather additional information to help identify those in the fire.

Although the fire has been extinguished, a Dodge City Fire Department engine will remain on scene to monitor for any potential flare-ups and to assist the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office once they arrive.

The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified and is in route to conduct a full investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
