Galen Ludlow named Maintenance Manager for District Six
The Kansas Department of Transportation recently promoted Galen Ludlow, as District Six Maintenance Manager. He replaces Joe Finley, who was promoted to District Six Engineer.
Ludlow has dedicated nearly 42 years to the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), beginning his career as an Equipment Operator I in Hays in January 1984. Throughout his tenure, he has received several promotions. He progressed from Equipment Operator II and III in the Hays Subarea and Area Crew in District 3. He then served as the Ness City Subarea Supervisor. Most recently he was the Area 3 Superintendent in District 6, a role he has maintained since July 2016. A lifelong resident of Kansas, he currently lives in Ness City.
“Galen’s experience has given him an in-depth knowledge of both KDOT and the transportation needs of southwest Kansas,” said District Engineer Joe Finley. “This is a great next step in his career, and we’re confident he will continue to excel as he steps into his new role.”
As the District Maintenance Manager, Ludlow will be responsible for leading maintenance activities for southwest Kansas, which includes 18 subareas, overseeing mechanics, bridge and paint crews and district-wide facility management.
