His deep understanding of our schools, strong relationships with staff, and clear commitment to Garden City’s success have made a tremendous impact already in his short time. We’re proud to officially name him as our next superintendent and are confident he will continue to lead our district forward with integrity, vision, and heart.”
Guymon expressed his gratitude and excitement about serving the district in this permanent capacity by saying, “I am deeply honored to be named Superintendent of Schools for Garden City Public Schools. I want to thank the Board of Education for their trust and confidence in me. This district and community mean the world to me. For 28 years, my wife and I have been proud to call Garden City home, raising our family here and serving alongside so many dedicated educators and staff. I’m excited about the road ahead and look forward to working together with our staff, students, families, and community partners to continue building on the great work already underway. Together, we will keep moving forward and ensure that every child in Garden City has the opportunity to succeed.”
As superintendent, Guymon will continue guiding key district initiatives that will shape the future of Garden City Public Schools.
