Rape investigation leads to the arrest of Garden City man

Garden City, Kan.–A Garden City man was arrested Saturday in connection to a rape investigation.

Officers of the Garden City Police Department on Saturday responded to the north part of town regarding a rape that just occurred. After arriving, they spoke with a woman who reported being assaulted by a man she knew, identified as 29-year-old Sami Ullah.

The investigation revealed that Ullah arrived at the woman’s home while she was in the backyard. He allegedly grabbed and forced her into the garage, where he pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. Ullah fled the scene but was located shortly afterward by Officers and taken into custody.

Ullah was lodged in the Finney County Jail for Rape, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Stalking.
