City of Dodge City seeking Applications for Advisory Boards and Commissions

Dodge City, Kan.–The City of Dodge City is seeking applications from Dodge City residents to fill vacant and expired terms on the City-appointed boards and commissions. These boards and commissions make recommendations to the City Department and the City Commission regarding various phases of municipal operations.

Applications for the following boards/commissions will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026: Airport Advisory Board, Building Board of Appeals, Community Facility Advisory Board (CFAB), Cultural Relations Advisory Board, Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board, Dodge City Planning Commission, Dodge City Public Library, Golf Advisory Board, Historic Landmark Commission, Housing Authority Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and Recycling Advisory Board.

Applications are available online and at City Hall, 806 N. Second Ave. or by calling 620-225-8100. Information about the boards and commissions, and the online application, can be viewed at http://www.dodgecity.org/82/Boards-Commissions.

Please note that all individuals appointed to a board will be required to attend training on the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA) and the Kansas Open Records Act (KORA).

If more applications are received than available positions, the applications will be kept on file if an opening occurs during the year. Appointments are anticipated to be made at the January 19, 2026, City Commission Meeting.
