Junction City man arrested for DUI following Sunday crash

Garden City, Kan.–A Junction City man was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash that sent two people to the hospital Sunday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., first responders were dispatched to an injury crash at the intersection of E. Kansas Avenue and College Drive, where a Dodge Ram allegedly struck a Honda Pilot and fled the scene. After arriving, first responders assisted and evaluated two occupants of the Pilot, who were taken to the hospital by family for treatment.

Officers soon located the Dodge Ram in the area and made contact with 29-year-old Dakota Miller. Further investigation revealed Miller was driving under the influence and found to have alcohol on him, and he was taken into custody. Miller was lodged in the Finney County Jail for DUI, Tampering with an Ignition Interlock Device, Transporting an Open Container, Criminal Carry of a Weapon when Intoxicated, Failure to Render Aid or Provide Info, and Failure to Yield at Stop or Yield Sign.
