Man arrested after threatening roomate with knife

Garden City, Kan.–A Garden City man was arrested early Wednesday morning after threatening his roomakte with a knife.

Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Officers from the Garden City Police Department swiftly intervened in an aggravated assault incident, safely apprehending a suspect who allegedly threatened a victim with a knife. Officers responded to the 600 block of Labrador Boulevard for an aggravated assault in progress, where 43-year-old Soliman Mosa was reported to have threatened a victim with a knife. The investigation revealed Mosa was allegedly intoxicated and had been asked by roommates to leave the apartment. After briefly leaving, Mosa returned, retrieved a kitchen knife, and entered the victim’s bedroom, stating his intent to kill. Another roommate intervened, restrained Mosa, and contacted police.

Officers quickly arrived, located Mosa, and after a brief struggle, took him into custody. During the arrest, Mosa become combative with police and assaulted Officers.

Mosa was lodged in the Finney County Jail for Attempted First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Battery LEO.
