Garden City man dies after being struck by pickup

Garden City, Kan. (westenrkansasnews.com)–A Garden City man died after being struck by a pickup just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.

The Kansas Highway Patrol report says that a 2005 Chevy Silverado driven by an 18-year-old Holcomb resident, was westbound on Railroad Avenue one mile west of Garden City, when he struck a pedestrian identified as 31-year-old Lance R. Stucky of Garden City, who was walking in the westbound lane.

Stucky was taken to St. Catherine’s hospital in Garden City, where he was pronounced deceased. According to the KHP report, the drive was properly restrained and not injured.
