Scott City’s O’Brien signs to run at Ft. Hays Tech NW
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–After her season-opening meet in Goodland, Jayden O’Brien knew where she wanted to go.
Last week, O’Brien made it official as she signed her letter of intent to run cross country at Fort Hays Tech Northwest in Goodland.
O’Brien has been a part of the Scott City cross country team all four years, and has been a part of each state qualifying team. Her best race of the year came at Hugoton on September 20, when she ran a 24:29.3, helping the girls to a second place finish.
She is planning on majoring in childcare specialists program at FHTNW, and will transfer to a four-year school to obtain an elementary education degree.
