WHS Earns 2026 All-Star High School Recognition

Last week, the Kansas Board of Regents recognized Wellington High School as a 2026 All-Star High School. Schools selected for this honor demonstrate a strong commitment to guiding students toward postsecondary success.

Launched in 2022, the All-Star High School program extends the Apply Kansas mission to enhance college access by helping students navigate the application process. Wellington High School students, along with those at other All-Star schools, receive support in completing college admissions and job applications, applying for financial aid, and celebrating all postsecondary pathways.

Sustained year after year, this annual initiative fosters and supports a college-going culture throughout the entire school community.

To qualify for this honor, a high school must participate in three key events: the Apply Kansas Application Event, the FAFSA Completion Event, and a College Signing Day/Senior Signing Day event.
