TOPEKA, Kan. – The Class 6A, 5A, 2A, and 1A DI KSHSAA State Volleyball Championships will be held at new sites in 2026. The 6A and 5A championships will be at the AdventHealth Sports Park at BluHawk in Overland Park, while 2A and 1A DI will be at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.

2026 will mark the first time that the state volleyball tournament will be hosted in the Kansas City metro. BluHawk is also the home of the Class 6A State Wrestling Championship.

“The KSHSAA is excited to bring our 5A and 6A state volleyball championships to AdventHealth Sports Park at BluHawk,” Assistant Executive Director Sarah Smith said. “This is a first-class venue that will provide an outstanding experience for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans, and we believe it will serve our membership extremely well.”

Tony’s Pizza Events Center brings years of state volleyball experience to the Class 2A and 1A DI championships.

“Schools in classes 2A and 1A DI come from all corners of the state, and Salina’s central location helps create a more accessible and balanced experience for those communities,” Smith said. “The KSHSAA is confident these adjustments will enhance the overall championship experience for all participants.”

The Class 4A and 3A competition will return to the Hutchinson Community College Sports Arena in Hutchinson, and Class 1A DII will return to Emporia State University White Auditorium in Emporia.
