Spring Into Second Chances

A generous $20,000 matching pledge from an anonymous donor is giving animal lovers an opportunity to double their impact this month.
The Wellington Humane Society’s “Spring into Second Chances” campaign runs through June 30, with every financial contribution matched dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000. That means every donation made during the campaign will go twice as far in supporting animals in need.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our community to make a difference,” said Jodie Hearlson, director of the Wellington Humane Society. “Every dollar donated during the campaign will have double the impact for the animals we care for.”
The matching campaign comes at a critical time as the number of young animals entering the shelter continues to climb, increasing demand for medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures and daily care.
The Wellington Humane Society provides a variety of low-cost and free services, including spay/neuter assistance, trap-neuter-release programs, vaccinations, microchipping and a pet food pantry. These programs are designed to support both animals and the people who care for them.
