Drought conditions improve across Kansas
Thanks to good rainfall over the past week, drought conditions have improved across the state of Kansas.
According to the US Drought Monitor, about a third of the state is not experiencing a dought.
Across southwest Kansas, smaller portions of the area remain in Extreme Drought status, while a majority is in Severe Drought, and the rest is in a Moderate Drought.
Drought conditions could turn for the worse this week, as temperatures are forecast to reach triple digits in the middle of the week, with small chances of precipitation.
