Phase 3 of the Gunsmoke Trail project to begin Monday

Dodge City, Kan.–The City of Dodge City on Friday announced the third phase of the Gunsmoke Trail project will begin.

Starting Monday, Building Solutions will begin Phase 3 of the Gunsmoke Trail project. This phase includes the construction of a new concrete walking path between Central Avenue and 1st Avenue, as shown on the map below. Construction is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete. During this phase, Comanche Street will remain open; however, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to narrow lanes through the work zone as shown on the map.

When traveling through the construction area, please use caution and be alert for construction equipment, loose or shifting soil, freshly placed concrete, fresh tar sealant, and other work-related hazards. Please follow all posted traffic control devices for your safety and the safety of construction crews.
