City of Garden City announces temporary closure of Gene Street

Garden City, Kan.–A temporary closure of Gene Street will take place this week.

Beginning Monday, July 6, Gene Street will be temporarily closed through Friday, July 10 to allow crews to complete a sewer mainline connection for the GCCC Tech Building Project.

During construction, a temporary 25-foot-wide access road will be maintained for residents at 2011 and 2015 Gene Street. Barricades and traffic control devices will be in place to restrict through traffic, and the designated work zone will remain closed to the public.
