Scott County LEC warns of fraudulent calls identifying as deputies

Scott County, Kan.–According to a Facebeook post earlier this week, the Scott County Law Enforcement Center has received reports from community members regarding phone calls from individuals falsely identifying themselves as Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. The parties contacted by the actors knew these calls were fraudulent and ended the calls.

They remind if you that if you receive a call from someone claiming to be a law enforcement officer or sheriff’s deputy, please contact the Law Enforcement Center at 620-872-2133 to verify the legitimacy of the call before providing any information.
