Commanche Street sidewalk construction to begin Monday

Dodge City, Kan.–The City of Dode City has announced the construction of new sidewalk on Commanche Street.

Starting Monday, Building Solutions will begin construction of a new sidewalk along Comanche Street between Avenue A and Avenue C. During construction, Comanche Street will remain open but will be reduced to one narrow lane in each direction to safely accommodate construction activities.

The project is expected to last approximately eight weeks.

The city asks residents to please use caution and be alert for construction equipment, loose or shifting soil, freshly placed concrete, fresh tar sealant, and other work-related hazards when traveling through the construction area. Please follow all posted traffic control devices for your safety and the safety of construction crews.
