Little changes to the drought map

Over the past week, there has been little change to the drought monitor across the state and region.

In southwest Kansas, a majority of the area is in a Moderate Drought. Lane, as well as parts of Scott and Ness Counties are showing no drought. The corner of southwest Kansas is in a severe drought.

Thursday night’s rainfall will not be reflected in this week’s drought map. The drought could intensify over the next week, as there are several days of temperatures surapssing 100 degrees forcast for the region, with slight chances of moisture.
