Motorcyclists seriously injured in Lane County accident
Lane County, Kan.–A Kentucky man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Lane County.
According to a Facebook post from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, just before 3 p.m. units from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, Lane County EMS and Lane County Fire were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on K-96 Highway east of Turkey Red Road.
Upon arrival it was determined that a 54-year-old man from Kentucky had been riding in a group of seven riders westbound on K-96 when his motorcycle left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The rider was thrown from the bike and suffered serious injuries. He was transported from the scene by Lane County EMS to the Lane County Hospital for treatment.
No other riders in the group were involved.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office
