Garden City High School Homecoming Parade on Sunday

The Garden City High School Student Council will be hosting a homecoming parade on Sunday, September 13, at 7:00 p.m. The parade will start at the front parking lot at the high school and will continue around the loop on the Garden City High School campus to the student parking lot. The entrance and drive around the high school will be closed at the start of the parade so it can proceed safely around the campus.

The Pioneer Street entrance will be open during the event. This will give community members access to parking at the high school and to exit the campus after the event.

There will be a pep rally, food trucks, and activities for kids and families. The evening will conclude with a bonfire for GCHS students. The parade will help kick off homecoming week activities. 

Garden City High School will hold different spirit-themed days during homecoming week. Monday is PJ Day, Tuesday is Print Day (leopard, stripes, etc.), Wednesday is Country Club Day, Thursday is BBQ Dad vs Soccer Mom Day, and Friday is Frat Day.

Homecoming week will conclude on Friday, September 18, when the Garden City High School football team will play at home against Hays at 7:00 p.m. at Buffalo Stadium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd. The homecoming royalty presentation will take place during halftime of the football game.
