Larned takes Scott City Tennis Invite title

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–It was perhaps the nicest day of competition on Monday in Scott City, as the annual Scott City Tennis Invitational saw eight schools compete at the tennis courts at Scott City Middle School. The meet would be delayed 90 minutes due to early morning rainfall, and to get the courts prepped for compeition.

Larned would take the team title, while Goodland was second. Scott City’s “Blue” team placed third, as it was comprised of all seniors. They were led by the No. 2 Doubles team of Ava Deines/Maggie Hineman, who won the meet. Cimarron was fifth, as Cimarron’s Ashlyn Randa was second at No. 2 Singles.
