Resurfacing underway along U.S. 400 in Ford County

The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a mill and overlay project along U.S. 400 from east city limits of Ford east to the Ford/Kiowa county line.

U.S.400 traffic will be reduced to one lane in sections as they work to resurface this 11.68-mile-long project area. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes as flaggers and a pilot car direct one-lane traffic through the work zone. The lane reduction will be marked by signs and cones. U.S. 400 will be open to normal traffic when construction is not taking place.

APAC of Hutchinson is the contractor for this $2.4 million project. Weather permitting, it is expected to be complete by the beginning of November.
