Schools to Host Heroes Breakfast For First Responders

Edith Scheuerman Elementary School and Jennie Barker Elementary School will host a Heroes Breakfast on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.  The schools have invited personnel from the Garden City Fire and Police departments, Finney County Sheriff’s Department, and Finney County EMS to the breakfast. The school will be expressing its gratitude for everything that they do to keep our community safe.

Edith Scheuerman Elementary School will be serving breakfast to the first responders from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. 

Jennie Barker Elementary School will be serving breakfast to the first responders from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. 

The event provides a great opportunity for the first responders to visit with students before the start of school that day.
