Area teams ranked in latest KBCA rankings

This week starts a couple of weeks of midseason tournaments, several area schools enter this weeks Kansas Basketball Coaches Association rankings.

The Liberal Girls area ranked at No. 10 in Class 6A, while the Hugoton boys remain as the No. 8 team in Class 4A. Holcomb’s boys are third and the girls are fourth in Class 3A. Class 1A, Division 1 features the Hodgeman County girls at No. 4, while Spearville are ranked seventh and eighth respectively, and the Greeley County boys are 10th. Class 1A, Division 2 has the Bucklin girls No. 2, Dighton fourth and Ashland eighth, while on the boys side, Ingalls is No. 7 and Deerfield is ranked eighth.
