Jay Senter
Presidential Appointment
Jay Senter is the founder and publisher of the Shawnee Mission Post and the Blue Valley Post, which have been recognized by Harvard's Nieman Lab and NPR's Morning Edition as a model for a sustainable community news operation. Raised in Prairie Village, Kan., he holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Wisconsin — Madison; and a master's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Kansas, where he was named recipient of the Calder Pickett Graduate Student Award.
