Garden City Police releases DUI saturation patrol numbers

Garden City, Kan.–The Garden City Police Department has released numbers from their DUI saturation patrol on Saturday.

On the evening of Saturday, May 2, the Garden City Police Department, with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol Blood Alcohol Unit and Air Unit, conducted a DUI saturation patrol.

Officers conducted 34 traffic stops, resulting in two DUI arrests. Additional individuals were cited and/or arrested on charges including fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, exhibition of speed/drag racing, interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of illegal narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and transportation of an open container.

Two individuals attempted to flee during traffic stops. With assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol Air Unit, both were located and taken into custody.
