Scandia Journal prints last edition

The Scandia Journal announced last week that it had printed its last edition.

Brian Isaacson was publisher and editor. He cited the high cost of labor, printing and postage that couldn't be offset by advertising and subscription income.

Scandia is in Republic County. The Journal was in business more than 130 years.

"I appreciate and would like to sincerely thank all of my subscribers, correspondents and everyone in general for the support I've received over the last few years of owning the Scandia Journal.
