AOE sweepstakes winners announced

Sweepstakes award winners were announced during the Awards of Excellence  Saturday at the Kansas Press Association’s annual meeting in Mulvane,.

One newspaper, the Iola Register, claimed both the news and advertising sweepstakes.

Winners of the editorial sweepstakes were:

Division I (circulation up to 600): Oberlin Herald.

Division II (circulation from 601 to 1,000): The Mirror (Tonganoxie).

Division III (circulation from 1,001 to 1,500):The Times, Pottawatomie County.

Division IV (circulation from 1,501 to 2,200): Iola Register.

Division V (circulation 2,201 to 3,500) Miami County Republic.

Division VI (3,501 to 5,600): Great Bend Tribune.

Division VII (5,601 and up) Wichita Eagle.

Advertising sweepstakes winners were:

Divisions I, II and III (circulation up to 1,500): Linn County News.

Divisions IV, V, VI and VI: Iola Register.
