Garden City wasted no time getting on the board, answering Pratt’s first-inning run with three in the bottom half. Sean Philpotts delivered an RBI walk before Will Togher followed with a two-run single to give the Broncbusters an early 3-1 advantage.
After Pratt trimmed the deficit with single runs in the second and third innings, Garden City extended its lead in the third when Will Togher launched a two-run home run to push the advantage to 5-3.
Pratt surged ahead in the fifth inning, plating five runs to briefly take control, but the Broncbusters answered immediately. Garden City responded with two runs in the bottom half, highlighted by Philpotts’ RBI triple and an RBI groundout from Togher to keep the game within reach.
The Broncbusters regained control in the sixth inning. Karson Evans delivered a clutch two-run double, and Cael Hamrick added an RBI walk to give Garden City an 8-10 deficit trimmed to 10-8.
Garden City continued to chip away in the seventh before breaking the game open in the eighth inning. The Broncbusters sent 12 batters to the plate and scored six runs on five hits, highlighted by RBI singles from Aiden Roberts and Sean Togher, along with a two-run hit from Will Togher that capped the surge and gave Garden City a commanding 17-10 lead.
Offensively, Garden City finished with 15 hits in the win. Will Togher led the charge with a home run and multiple RBI, while Roberts, Sean Togher, Evans, and Philpotts each delivered key hits in the late innings.
